What: From preparing an audition to adding repertoire, or just learning new tools, this ongoing, non-sequential class focuses students on sharpening and developing musical performance skills. Each student will present a song each week, working with the instructor’s feedback. The same material may be worked on for multiple classes depending upon progress. Students may request suggestions for new material beyond what they initially bring, which will be provided.
The class meets weekly and you are encouraged to sign up for as many sessions as you’d like.
Saturdays at 11:00am at The Odyssey Theatre in West Los Angeles.
Length: This is a non-sequential course that is 2-3 hours in length, depending on number of students each week.
Who Should Sign Up: Adults who are pursuing careers as actors and musical theatre performers. Students will already have a strong foundation and skill set with significant performance experience.
What to Bring: A song and sheet music. An accompanist is provided.

What: This class focuses upon the fundamentals of musical performance for young or new-to-musical-theater actors. We’ll discover how to read and understand the many clues provided by the composer and lyricist in the material itself. These tools lead to effective interpretation, allowing the actor to bring songs to life with confidence.
Length: This is a sequential 6-week course (6 sessions at 2 hours each).
Who Should Sign Up: Younger performers still in school. Minimum age is 15.
What to Bring: 32 bars of a song on the first day. Please bring sheet music.
